Yes. TRUEMATICS does not charge a processing or service fee for France, and students applying through us get an application-fee waiver. Official fees, such as the Campus France fee and the visa fee, are paid by you directly to the authority. Ask us for the current list.
Yes. We support students from across Tamil Nadu and India who plan to study in France.
Yes. Eligibility depends on the school. It usually looks at your Class 12 results, English or French language scores and, for some programmes, an entrance test or interview. Many Indian students choose English-taught Bachelor's programmes at business, engineering and design schools.
Yes. France offers Master's, MSc and MBA programmes in business, engineering, data and AI, design, hospitality and other fields, at public universities, grandes écoles and private schools. Entry needs vary by programme, so we shortlist based on your degree, scores and budget.
Campus France is the French government agency that promotes higher education in France. Indian applicants to most programmes complete the Études en France procedure on its portal, which includes a document check and an academic interview. TRUEMATICS helps you prepare your documents and interview.
September is the main intake, and selected programmes at some universities and business schools also start in January. Deadlines vary by school. We recommend starting 8 to 12 months before your intake, because applications, Campus France and the visa each take time.
Not for English-taught programmes, which usually ask for IELTS or TOEFL. For Indian students IELTS is not mandatory, a Medium of Instruction letter from last education is required. French-taught programmes ask for a French level, often B2, shown by a TCF or DELF result. Learning some French helps with daily life and part-time work. TRUEMATICS also offers French classes at A1 and A2.
Public universities charge much lower tuition than private business schools and specialist institutions, and fees differ by programme and student status. Check the exact fee for your programme with the school. Living costs depend on the city, with Paris higher than most.
Since 1 August 2026, the minimum financial resources for a student visa are €877.50 per month, up from €615. Requirements and accepted proof can change, so check the latest guidance with TRUEMATICS and France-Visas before you apply.
The long-stay student visa fee is €50 for students who complete the Études en France procedure. You apply through the France-Visas portal and attend a visa appointment, with your admission letter and proof of funds. Fees and steps change, so verify them before you apply.

Usually your passport, academic transcripts and certificates, a CV, a motivation letter or SOP, references and an English or French language score. Each programme lists its own requirements, so we prepare your documents around the exact course you choose.
Yes. Students with the right residence permit can generally work up to 964 hours per year, subject to the applicable rules. Treat work as extra income and not your main funding, and check the current rules for your situation.
Yes. Options include the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship for Master's and PhD level, French government scholarships and awards from individual universities and schools. Availability, eligibility and deadlines change every year, so we check them for your shortlisted programmes.
Some graduates, such as Master's graduates, can apply for a temporary residence permit to look for work or start a business. Eligibility depends on your qualification and the rules at the time you apply. Currently 2 years post study visa options in France.
