Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, located in the Helsinki metropolitan area, is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Finland with over 10 500 students. Haaga-Helia consists of five campuses in total: three campuses in Helsinki, one in Porvoo and one in Vierumäki. Haaga-Helia’s degree programs are practice oriented enabling students to get real-life experience in working with different companies. This method of studying gives students a great chance to network with their possible future employees, which is why many Haaga-Helia students end up getting either an internship or a job from the commissioner they work with during their studies. At Haaga-Helia, students study in a truly international environment. The English-taught bachelors and masters programs have students from over 100 nationalities. Students have an opportunity to complete one semester as an exchange student in one of Haaga-Helia’s 200 partner universities around the world. Some partner universities also offer a possibility to acquire a double degree. Double degree students complete two semesters abroad and receive a diploma from both, Haaga-Helia and the partner university. Students can also complete their work placement abroad which is a good chance to increase professional expertise, language skills and cultural awareness.
