North Ossetian State Medical Academy The beginning of the long-term journey of the North Ossetian State Medical Academy was July 10, 1939, when a medical institute was opened in Ordzhonikidze by the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR. 1995 was a new reference point in the biography of the institute. By order of the State Govt of the Russian Federation for Higher Education No. 286 of February 26, 1995, he received the status of a medical academy. This was an official recognition of the high level of educational, research and medical work of the university.
